You could be forgiven for thinking brain injuries are generally the result of high impact sporting accidents such as mountain biking, boxing or rugby. But we human beings are fragile creatures. At the Central England Rehabilitation Unit in Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, staff support a wide range of patients who, from something as simple as falling off a ladder or tripping over on the pavement, suffered catastrophic injuries which has left them with damage to their brain.
